The Center That Holds It Together
At the heart of a strong marriage isn’t just compatibility.
It’s Jesus.
When Jesus is the center, marriage stops being a competition and becomes a shared pursuit of purpose.
Grace becomes easier.
Forgiveness becomes quicker.
Encouragement becomes natural.
Because you’re both learning to follow Jesus together.
And the beautiful thing about building a marriage around Jesus is this:
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You just have to keep walking toward Him together.
But sometimes couples drift from Jesus being the center.
Life gets busy.
Faith grows quiet for a season.
But why?
Recently, a wife shared her story with Lynsee about her marriage. She talked about a time when both she and her husband had fallen away from Jesus. Life had taken over, and somewhere along the way their relationship with Him was broken and so was their marriage.
But Jesus wasn’t finished with their story.
Little by little, He began drawing them back not just individually, but together.
As they returned to Him, their marriage didn’t just return to what it had been before.
It became stronger, because Jesus was now truly at the center.
More rooted.
More grace-filled.
More intentional.
Now they’re celebrating 18 years of marriage, and she shared how much deeper their relationship is today because Jesus truly sits at the center of it.
When we hear stories like that, it stops us in our tracks.
Because it reminds us that God is still restoring marriages every day.
And every time someone shares a story like this with us, it feels like confirmation of something God has placed on our hearts:
The message that Marriage Is Cool™.
Because of purpose, even the seasons where things drift can become the very moments God uses to restore something stronger than before.
Hearing people’s stories reminds us that this message isn’t just an idea.
It’s a calling.
And every story we hear continues to reaffirm what we believe more and more:
When Jesus is at the center, marriage isn’t just something you do with your husband or wife.
It becomes something God is actively redeeming, strengthening, and celebrating.
And that’s one more reason we believe…
Marriage is cool™.
