Marriage Is Cool: Celebrating 20 Years of Us
Marriage is cool… not because it’s polished, or picture-perfect, but because it’s real. It’s choosing each other day after day, through seasons of growth, stretching, laughter, and learning. As we celebrate 20 years of marriage, we’re reminded that love, cherishing one another, and keeping Jesus at the center are what we’ve held tight to and what has held us together.
Marriage is cool because it’s built in the everyday moments. It’s coffee shared before the day starts, silent prayers offered for each other, and showing up even when life feels heavy and awkward. It’s learning how to listen better, forgive quicker, and love deeper. It’s discovering that commitment doesn’t limit you… it grounds you.
A Christ-centered marriage gives purpose to the promise. When love is rooted in faith, it becomes less about winning and more about serving. Less about being right and more about being united. We’ve learned that when Christ leads, grace follows, and grace makes room for growth.
Cherishing each other is a choice we make over and over again. It’s honoring the history you’ve built while believing in the future you’re still creating. Twenty years in, we know marriage isn’t about perfection…it’s about partnership. It’s about two imperfect people choosing to walk forward together, hand in hand.
So yes, marriage is cool! It’s strong. It’s meaningful. It’s worth celebrating. And after 20 years, we can say with confidence: choosing love, choosing Jesus, and choosing each other remains every single day
